Heather began freelance mural work as "Pink Giraffe Design" She specialized in childrens rooms, and built an impressive portfolio in that genre. At the urging of a client, she was asked to try her hand at "faux finishing" and subsiquently ended up color washing all the common areas of their 11,000 sq ft home. Having felt that she finally found her niche, she began taking classes and researching the art of faux. It was the beginning of a love affair. In 2008, at the encouragement of another very special client, she changed her name to 5th Wall Surface Design.
Heather has since worked for countless private and commercial clients, and has built a reputation for reliability and exceptional work. She has worked in many of the surrounding Austin areas, and as far away as New Jersey.
